《天地氤氳》沈勤作品展

沈勤,1958年生於中國南京。1978年考入江蘇省國畫院中國畫研究班,2003年赴加拿大大不列顛哥倫比亞大學講學。現為江蘇省國畫院國家壹級美術師。
Shen Qin, Born in Nanjing in 1958.Educated at Jiangsu Traditional Chinese Painting Institute from 1978 to 1982.Gave lecture at University of British Columbia, Canada in 2003.Currently working and living in Nanjing (National A-level Artist)。
沈勤的藝術在很大程度上歸功於與他與西方藝術的交道。可是這個事實不能改變的是,就本質上而言,沈勤的藝術是地道的水墨,我們無法想像這種媒介之外的可能。然而,沈勤的畫與傳統之間的關係很特殊。他的許多作品能勾起我們對傳統山水畫的回憶,可這一事實絕沒有把他帶入文人畫的畛域。沈勤的山水,亭台軒榭與文人畫的構圖、筆觸筆法幾乎毫不相關。就連他多數作品中表達的‘淡遠之氣’也僅僅是乍看上去符合宋代之後的文人畫理想。我從中看出的,卻是他通過接觸超現實主義習得的,將日常現實空間轉化為形而上空間的意圖。
白色河流的線條穿梭於黛灰的山影之間,霧一般流向中心透視的逸滅點,那是空虛的場所,在原本‘了無一事’的風景中央,也是那玄而又玄的發端之處。然而,這些動態而不安的虛空,與傳統山水畫‘留白’的冥想空間沒有共同點,它們標識著生存中的驚恐,記述著迷茫當下中的不安、恐懼和孤獨。

Shen Qin’s achievements in art can be largely attributed to his acquaintance with western art。 Yet this doesn’t cause any alterations to the nature of his works。 Shen’s works fall essentially into the category of ink painting and any medium other than ink to be used is beyond our imagination。 They are specially related to the tradition。 While many of his works remind us of traditional landscape paintings, this doesn’t draw his art into the category of literati paintings for mountains and waters and different types of pavilions in his works are barely in the style of literati paintings in terms of their compositions and strokes。 Even ‘the air of inner detachment and peacefulness’ expressed in many of his works accords with the ideals of post-Song Dynasty literati paintings only at the first glance。 Examining more closely, we will perceive his purpose to transform the real space in daily life into metaphysical one, which he has acquired via his contacts with surrealism。
White rivers wind their way through the black and grey shadows of mountains, flowing like mist to the ends of central perspective, to the center of the landscape that is originally nothing at all, to emptiness and also to the origin of metaphysics。 This kind of dynamic and restless emptiness has nothing in common with the ‘white space’ in traditional landscape painting in that it is recording and telling the anxieties, fears and loneliness in contemporary times。
